I am reaching out as a Senior parent and volunteer at Hudson’s Bay High School Foundation here in downtown Vancouver, WA. As you can imagine, the past few years have been an ongoing challenge for most teens, as they struggle to re-adjust to COVID restrictions and a less traditional high school experience than we may have had. Given the challenging socioeconomic demographics at Bay, some families have been greatly impacted by job loss and find it a hardship just to make ends meet. We are doing everything we can to give our Class of 2022 a few events to celebrate their flexibility and resiliency during this Covid pandemic.

We are hosting an online auction running from April 18-24. All proceeds we raise in our auction will allow us to sponsor a safe and sober overnight Senior Grad Party on June 12. We hope this will help end their high school experience on a high note. Our goal is to have about 200+ families bidding and raise at least $5,000 in profit to help relieve some of the financial barriers that come with graduation for many of our 257 Seniors.
