Extravaganza was started in 1982 as a dinner and auction, by a group of determined parents and volunteers.  Over the past almost 40 years, it has rasied over $5 Million.

It is the school's largest annual fundraiser.  All proceeds from this event go directly into the operating budget of the school, which enables us to dedicate more funds to scholarships for students in need.  As of now, more than 50% of our families are receiving some form of financial assistance; and out of those families, 80% are low income, inner-city families.  Because the school district our facility is located in (Reading School District) is classified as one of Pennsylvania's failing school districts, any scholarships/financial aid we can offer allows families living in the area another option to educate their children.  

Through the generous support we have received from not only our surrounding business community, but also some generous national companies, we have been able to work toward keeping the  education cost within reach while also providing numerous upgrades to our facilities, as well as our academic and athletic programs.  

Extravaganza has traditionally been a two-evening event.  Our original dates of October 1st and 3rd, 2020, have had to be pushed back to November 12th and 14th.  And, we will probably be changing from a "live" event to a "virtual" event.  This makes it even more important to present items of interest that will bring in much needed donations.
