Bean Bagz for Brainz
Other Event Type for Alzheimer's Association Minnesota-North Dakota ChapterApr 07, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
On April 7th, the Alzheimer’s Association Young Champions are putting on our fourth annual bean bag tournament called ALZ Bean Bagz for Brainz to raise awareness and funds to help end Alzheimer’s - we would love your support! Last year we raised over $26,000. With your help, this year we can make the event just as successful!
Who We Are
The Alzheimer’s Association Young Champions is a diverse group of leaders dedicated to changing the face of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. As a group of young professionals engaged in our communities, we’re taking on the mission to end Alzheimer’s by increasing awareness, advocating for change, and raising funds to provide hope for people affected. Alzheimer’s disease Facts
Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the world. Of the top 10 causes of death, it’s the only one without a cure, treatment or prevention. It currently affects 5.5 million Americans (100,000 in Minnesota alone) and by 2050, an estimated 16 million Americans will be living with the disease. If we do not go after this disease, it will most certainly be coming after us.
How You Can Help
We are looking for donations for our Punch Wall and would greatly appreciate your generosity. Please submit your donations by Friday, March 30th. Due to the nature of the Punch Wall, donations in the form of gift cards, vouchers and certificates would be greatly appreciated.
