We are delighted to announce that this coming June we will be back in-person for the first time in three years to celebrate our 21st Beauty of the Spirit Event. The in-person festivities will take place on Friday, June 25th at The Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY. For those who prefer to join virtually or aren’t able to attend in-person, we will be live-streaming the program from our website for you to enjoy. Our annual fundraiser will feature powerful storytelling, a redesigned program and more. It’s an experience you don’t want to miss!

Our keynote speaker is S. Judy Flanagan, OP. S. Judy has spent many years in the ministry of education serving either as teacher or administrator in various schools including St. Luke in Whitestone, St. Thomas the Apostle in Woodhaven, Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Jamaica and Holy Spirit in New Hyde Park. She taught English in Dominican Commercial High School in Jamaica and served as Pastoral Associate in St. Laurence Parish in East New York. Most recently, she instructed immigrant women in Wyandanch in English as a Second Language. Her ministry there was part of the Congregation’s sponsored ministry, the Opening Word Program. Presently, S. Judy is on the Leadership Team of the Congregation.

Proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase and installation of surveillance systems in the Motherhouse; providing Sisters, staff and visitors with a safe and secure environment that can be monitored 24/7.
