Description

Beavers and the wetlands they create have been making headlines for their surprising role in wildfire reduction. There is even a festival in their honor!

The Martinez Beaver Festival is a free community-based nature event in Contra Costa County held by Worth A Dam, a fiscally sponsored project of Inquiring Systems Inc.  a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) nonprofit with EIN: 94-2524840. The annual event celebrates urban wildlife and highlights the way communities can work together to solve problems.

For the past 17 years Worth A Dam has worked to help children and adults learn why beavers matter to stream health, biodiversity, and climate change resilience. Your support will  allow us to continue to educate cities about specific mitigation techniques and the ecosystem sernices beavers provide.

We thank you for your consideration of our urban beavers and the habitat they sustain.
