Description

Our Mission
The LIME Foundation provides educational resources, mentorship, and career exploration in order to develop sustainable empowerment among our diverse communities. Those served by The LIME Foundation will learn life-changing skills to harness their potential in music, performing arts, construction careers, technology, and health, encouraging all individuals to inspire their communities

Our Programs

Founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Letitia Hanke in 2015, the LIME Foundation has grown to support three core programs: the NextGen Trades Academy, the Turner Arts Initiative, and the Senior Activities Program.

NextGen Trades Academy provides workforce development to socioeconomically disadvantaged and underrepresented youth, ages 16-24, via education and interaction with industry leaders and employers in 24 different construction trades. Youth who complete this program receive their OSHA-10 construction worksite safety certification and are exposed to numerous employment opportunities in the trades.

Turner Arts Initiative provides disadvantaged youth with opportunities to develop physically, mentally, emotionally and socially through the performing arts. Each year, the Turner Arts Initiative awards a scholarship that helps fund post-secondary education for an aspiring youth in the performing arts. This program also features a biannual talent show and an arts-focused summer camp (to be resumed post-COVID).

Senior Activities Program enables adults 55 and older to reclaim or enhance control over their own wellness through health and nutritional education. The program features nutrition workshops, culinary workshops, group stretching, gentle exercise guidance, and individualized health coaching.
