For the past 59 years, Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra has prided itself on giving scholarships to all students who need financial assistance. This year, BYSO has seen a tremendous increase in interest in our programs. But along with increasing the number of students we serve, we have had to navigate increased expenses, including a 50% increase in scholarship requests. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and it will enable us to continue to make a difference in the lives of many young musicians who deserve the opportunity to learn and grow through music. Our fundraiser will take place May 6th to 19th, 2024, and all items will be on display at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Meydenbauer Center Theatre in Bellevue, and at Bellevue Botanical Garden in Bellevue. Our auction will be hosted on an online platform so that our supporters have the opportunity to participate even if they are unable to attend one of our concerts! We expect over 1800 students, families, alumni, and community members to attend these live events, and we will be promoting online participation to our contact list of over 5,000 email addresses. All money raised will be invested right back into our programs that support our students (scholarships) and community (free concerts).
