The VHS Music Boosters, together with students, teachers, and families, host a
Benefit Concert and Silent Auction. The concert will showcase all of our music groups: Wind
Ensemble I, Wind Ensemble Honors, String Ensemble I, String Ensemble Honors, Concert Band,
and Jazz Band. Funds from this event will help purchase, repair, and maintain instruments, buy
music and uniforms, provide tutoring and master clinics, and cover travel expenses for students
to compete in state and national music festivals and competitions.

The VHS Music Department strives for excellence. We are very proud of the nationally
recognized program that Mr. Hunt and his over 200 students work hard to achieve. During the
past few school years, students participated and earned distinction in state, regional, and national
adjudicated competitions. Ventura High School is the ONLY west coast participant in the Grand
National Invitational in 25 years. Our music program continues to grow, and we need your help!
To make our concert a success, we are seeking the assistance of businesses such as yours by
soliciting donations for our Silent Auction. Past donations have included themed gift baskets, gift
certificates, event tickets, meal gift certificates, theater tickets, clothing, spa/salon treatments,
amusement park admission, memberships, and/or other specialty items. All donations are tax-
deductible.
