Lazarex Cancer Foundation improves patients’ access to cancer clinical trials through financial assistance, clinical trial navigation, outreach, and education. Due to the overwhelming burden of out-of-pocket expenses, a cancer patient in a clinical trial may be forced to choose between their treatment and their basic needs. That’s where Lazarex Cancer Foundation steps in; we financially assist with airfare, lodging, gas, and general travel expenses for the cancer patient, along with their travel companion, to get to and from their clinical trial for the duration of their treatment. Riggers Loft at Point Richmond will set the scene for a fun and inspiring adventure. The event program will include awards for three honorees and inspiration from one of our very special patients. There will be entertainment, surprises and activities, a live auction, and a fund a need to engage everyone as we raise funds to support patients beyond the bay and across the country. Award winning Chef Frank Miller (formerly of Spago in Beverly Hills) will prepare an amazing feast that is an attraction in and of itself… prepare for an amazing food experience!

Our goal for fundraising is $310,000. We are the only publicly funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the USA who provides the kind of ample support that patients need to participate in a clinical trial. We are often the last stop for renewed hope and a chance at life. We have seen a massive 54% rise in patient requests for clinical trial navigation and travel reimbursement over the past year. All funds raised at this event will go directly to patients services through our Lazarex CARE Program.
