The mission of the Daly City Public Library Associates is to raise private funds to supplement public funding of the Daly City libraries. This is accomplished by developing community, civic and business support for fundraising, advocacy, and innovative programs that benefit our diverse community and promote greater awareness of the Library's valuable resources.
We are hosting our bi-annual book sale on April 18/19 and 25/26 which is both a community building event and fundraiser for our organization. Aside from our sale of new and nearly new books, we will have a raffle, crafts, activities and entertainment to draw the community together. In addition, we have sponsored a city-wide poster contest for students from kindergarten through 8th grade which will culminate at the bookfair with a reception for the winners.
