BROC’s special wine and charcuterie fall fundraising event, Wags and Wine, is scheduled for

Saturday, October 12, 2024. This event promises to be an elegant afternoon gathering to thank

our supporters for their generous support of our mission to rehome, rehabilitate and provide

sanctuary for Bichons in need.

The current economic condition has presented BROC with new challenges – few adopters and

fewer fosters to care for our rescues. Still, the number of seniors out there needing our help has

not decreased and the cost to care for those in sanctuary, continues to increase. This special

event is primarily focused on increasing awareness to help us make it through this difficult time.

The event will be held at a beautiful private home atop the hills of Yorba Linda. Announcements

and invitations have already been sent. We will serve a light repast, wine and desserts for a

donation of $100 per person. We expect about 60 guests. We are actively seeking sponsors for

the event, and several have already stepped up and made extremely generous donations. Our

non-profit 501(c)(3) Tax ID number, 47-1918280, appears on the bottom of this letter.

We are still enlisting volunteers to ensure the success of the event. We are asking for donations of

prizes that will be given away throughout the afternoon. We are also collecting gift certificates for

restaurants, coffee shops, wineries, theatres, theme parks, arenas, sports teams, wineries,

merchants, etc. Items for gift baskets: skin care, health care and pet care products, coffee mugs,

books, etc. will also be greatly appreciated.
