Concordia Preparatory School Bid for Kids Dinner and Auction – Saturday, March 23


Concordia Preparatory School is a compassionate, Christ-centered community of servant leaders. Started in 1965 as Baltimore Lutheran School, Concordia Prep has a rich history of excellence in education, faith development, and community service. Our co-ed community, which consists of over 460 students in grades 6 through 12, serves students from nearly 70 different zip codes around the Baltimore area. We strive to create an environment that nurtures students' spiritual, academic, physical, and social growth to become confident men and women of faith and service.

Within the past eight years, our student population has grown from 222 to 462 students. The gym, which was built in 1973, is the school’s only place on campus that fits the entire student body. In addition to weekly chapel services, assemblies, musicals, and concerts held in the space, there are 23 middle and upper school athletic teams that share the gymnasium throughout the fall, winter, and spring seasons. However, our gymnasium has no air conditioning, which can make it quite uncomfortable for not only our student body, but athletes, actors on stage, and fans and audience members as well.

Annually, we host a Bid for Kids Dinner and Auction in the spring. This event, which is our primary fundraiser each year, provides support for programs and activities beyond the scope of the operating budget.

This year, the Bid for Kids Auction will be held on March 23, 2024. Money raised at the auction will help fund the overall cost of the air conditioning project, which includes upgrading the electrical components to the power grid that services the gymnasium so that air conditioning can be installed.

Since the Bid for Kids Dinner and Auction is the biggest fundraiser for our school, consider becoming a sponsor for the event or donating to the auction.
