Proceeds from the auction will support our Open Door Connections program, which provides free and discounted admission for visitors with financial limitations or disabilities such as autism spectrum disorders, hearing loss, or vision impairment. In 2018, more than 49,000 people (22% of our total) benefitted from this program—impact that was only possible because of the generosity of donors like you.

 We are deeply committed to being accessible and inclusive to all families.

• In 2018, we opened our expanded, renovated, and ADA-compliant building with new and redesigned interactive exhibits that are both engaging and accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
• Our Free Friday Nights program, $1 Anytime Admission for EBT card holders, and free admission for active duty military personnel and their family members help make Discovery Museum a place where all families feel welcome regardless of financial challenges.
• We provide free and discounted field trips and Traveling Science Workshops to schools in need so that financial constraints are not a barrier for learning hands-on math and science.
• Our efforts over many years inspired an award from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts recognizing our work on the advancement of inclusion of people with disabilities in the cultural arts.

If you decide to donate, your business will be profiled in the online auction catalog, which will include a link to your website, and acknowledged in the Discovery Museum’s 2019 Annual Report. We market the auction to the more than 24,000 individuals on the museum’s email list and through Facebook and Twitter, as well as 400,000+ bidders on BiddingForGood.com.
