Bids for Barks
Online Auction for Phoenix Assistance Dogs of Central PANov 04, 2023 from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Dear PAD Supporter,
Phoenix Assistance Dogs of Central PA’s mission is to locate and train puppies to become assistance dogs for individuals living with a broad range of disabilities, who are unable to train their own assistance dogs. Highly trained assistance dogs provide greater independence in the lives of those individuals living with disabilities. PAD also assists individuals in finding and training their own assistance dogs if they desire to train their own dog.
PAD is hosting our 11th annual Bids for Barks Online Auction in support of our assistance dogs in training and we need your help. We have 44 working assistance dogs across the USA from California to NY and over 50 individuals with disabilities waiting for an assistance dog from us.
Your contribution for our 11th annual Bids for Barks Online Auction, being held on Saturday, November 4th, 2023, will help us continue providing these life changing assistance dogs. As the founder and director of PAD, I get to experience the incredible impact an assistance dog makes on its partner. We have children, adults and wounded veterans on our waiting list hoping for one of our specially trained assistance dogs to come into their lives as soon as possible.
By simply donating an item to our Bids for Barks Auction, your business and brand will receive exposure to both our local community of over 4,500 Facebook supporters.
There is so much we want to accomplish for individuals living with disabilities and, this year, our goal is to raise $4,000. Our fundraising efforts are aimed at increasing our ability to breed healthy, confident puppies for our training program.
Since 2009, people like you have taken just a few minutes out of their day to make a lifetime of positive impact, and we appreciate your continued support.
It is widely known that the estimated average cost of one assistance dog is $15,000.00, however, partners with a disability only pay $2,000.00 for their assistance dog. Phoenix Assistance Dogs of Central PA raises the remaining $13,000 and relies 100% on donations from the community. If you are interested in other areas of our program, please feel free to contact us.
Sincerely yours,
