Our Bids For Kids is a silent auction event. At the Elkhorn Public Schools, we have a rapidly growing school district. Two significant ways (and there are more) that we, the Elkhorn Public School Foundation, assist our growing district is through Math and Reading Intervention and offering classroom grants to staff. Our Math and Reading Intervention program is after-school tutoring for students who are struggling in those areas at school. This instruction is beneficial because the tutoring is conducted via small groups. This gives the teacher more time to provide individualized help that isn't always available during the school day. During the 2022-2023 school year, more than 400 elementary students received math and reading support because of our annual Bids For Kids event. Additionally, the Foundation Board has approved 76 grants for the 2023-2024 school year that benefit all 20 schools in the Elkhorn Public Schools District. Some of these grants include robotics, plays, speakers, ebooks, and so much more. Our students and staff are our main priority at the Foundation, and our Bids For Kids Auction raises significant funds to help our vital programs.
