Big Brothers Big Sisters is known as the premiere mentoring program across the nation and provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Research proves that children enrolled in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs are more likely to improve in school and in their relationships with family and friends, and less likely to skip school or use illegal drugs or alcohol.

Our local organization has been mentoring youth for 47 years. Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWGA Mtns. mentors children through two programs. The community based Big Brothers Big Sisters Program provides mentors to youth that participate in cultural activities in the community. The Buddy Program is our in-school mentoring program. Bigs meet with their Little in the school setting providing tutoring and social activities for one hour per week. Over 400 children received one-to-one mentoring through our programs in 2016.

BIG Night Out 2017 is scheduled to be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Dalton Golf and Country Club. The event will feature a Las Vegas Casino theme, with gaming tables, food and beverages, and a silent auction. All proceeds after expenses will benefit the programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWGA Mountains.

During the event, attendees may participate in our silent auction. We are asking for your consideration in donating a gift certificate for the auction.
