Description

Big Brothers Big Sisters is known as the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network.  Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers and children in our community and communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children achieve success in school, helps them avoid risky behaviors such as getting into fights and trying drugs and alcohol, and helps them improve their self-confidence. We hold ourselves accountable to our supporters by regularly measuring our impact .

Our local organization has been mentoring youth for over 50 years.  Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWGA Mtns. Provides mentors through two programs. The community based Big Brothers Big Sisters Program provides mentors to youth that participate in cultural activities in the community. In the Buddy Program, our in-school mentoring program; Bigs meet with their Little in the school setting providing tutoring and social activities for one hour per week. 

BIG Night Out 2023 is scheduled to be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Mill.  The event will feature a Las Vegas Casino theme, with gaming tables, food and beverages, and a silent auction. All proceeds after expenses will benefit the programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWGA Mountains.

During the event, attendees may participate in our silent auction.
