We are honored to have Father Greg Boyle, founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles as our keynote speaker! Rise Up Industries is part of the global Homeboy network. The mission of Rise Up Industries is to minimize gang involvement in San Diego by providing intergrated gang prevention, gang interevention, and post-detention reentry programs. Our 18-month Reentry Program is in its seventh year of operations and provides comprehensive services including employment, job-training, case management, tattoo removal, counseling, mentoring, education assistance, financial literacy, life skills training, and work ethic development. RUI pays full-time wages to members as they work their way through the program. 

Graduates of the program have an 8% recidivism rate, while 100% were hired by local manufacturing companies upon graduation. Accordning to national averages, formerly incarcerated persons have a 66% recidivism rate and only 55% find employment their first year after release. 

All donations will support Rise Up Industries' Reentry Program and upcoming Gang Prevention Program.
