We will be hosting our annual event, Bingo for Babies, on Thursday May 9, 2024. This event is our largest fundraiser for our Womens and Infant Relief Fund, which supports healthy beginnings for babies and moms living with low incomes.  

After noticing the immense needs of postpartum mothers served by Central Missouri Community Action Head Start, the Womens and Infant Relief Fund (WIRF) was created by seeking community donations. We know that percentage of postpartum depression and child abuse rates can be reduced when basic needs are met.  WIRF can help provide families with items varying from diapers and wipes, seasonal clothing, postpartum care supplies, and home safety items such as smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. WIRF also provides monthly virtual education baby showers for our prenatal mom with topics varying from What to Expect for Labor and Delivery, Safe Sleep, Breastfeeding, and Postpartum Care. Parents that attend are given the opportunity to choose from different baby essentials as barrier reducers for attending. 

Items donated will be used either as prizes or for our silent auction to help raise additional funds.
