We have a table bingo which means the attendees each bring a $10 gift for the bingo games.  Winners at each table chooses a gift from their table.  This is a warm up to the gift auction.  We request donations from local businesses, friends and networking contacts.  We use gift certifictes and in-kind donations in our gift baskets. Monetary donations for this event is used for our special prizes that can generate more ticket sales.  Most of our attendees are women but we do have men attend and we do have men that volunteer.  We encourage out attendees to shop at the places the support our cause and well as patronize the restaurants that support us.  We make announcements throughtout the event to thank our donors and hand out a program with donor names.    The proceeds go to women in crisis facing financial hardship while battling breast cancer. We are all volunteers, there is no paid staff.  We rely on the donations we receive to have a successful fundraising event.
