The DFW Humane Society Black Collar Affair is a fun night filled with good food and fun to help raise money to save lives.  The money raised tonight will help go towards helping the homeless,i injured, and sick pets in our community.  As a no-kill shelter, we are dedicated to the animals in our care until we find them a home.  We rescue pets from full shelters and give them the time they need to get healthy and find a home.  We practice open adoptions, where we support our adopters to help them find a good fit vs making it difficult to find that next family member.  We also have programs such as our food pantry which supports our local community when they need pet food assistance.  We have a commitment, not just for animals, but for people and our community, knowing that our main goal is to strengthen the human animal bond.

The Black Collar Affair is an annual event that was postponed for a few years after covid.  We are hoping to go big and raise lots of money while reintroducing our new management,board, and goals to our community.  We have revived our efforts and support for our community and are hoping to make a big impression with this event, helping to increase our impact!
