Description

The 53rd Annual Auction and Black and White Ball will take place on May 11, 2019 at the Bellevue Hilton. This is the largest of our three major events that we host each year - with over 500 of the area's most prominent citizens attending this black-tie community tradition. Over the years, our auction has become one of the most prestigious events on the Eastside. This year's auction promises to be an evening of fun and entertainment including dinner, dancing and bidding on many unique items.

Proceeds from our major fundraising events each year go to support essential programs at our Clubhouses, including our mentoring and tutoring programs targeting youth living in our highest need communities. We run our BE Great: Graduate program in each of our three teen centers, and completely free to all participants. BGG, now in its tenth year, is a dropout prevention program, currently serves over 200 youth, and is offered free of charge to all participants. We have a strong, longstanding relationship with the Bellevue School District, and our Club staff work with BSD staff to identify and engage youth who exhibit a combination of at-risk behaviors or barriers that may lead to dropping out including; school suspensions, low grades, low socio-economic status, single parent household, behavioral issues or low self-esteem. It is our goal to halt the cycle of poverty by keeping at-risk teens engaged in school through intentional mentoring that emphasizes academic self-sufficiency and goal setting for a successful future.
