#BladderCancerSucks - Bladder Cancer Awareness Month 2024
Other Event Type for Bladder Cancer CanadaMay 01, 2024 to May 31, 2024
May is Bladder Cancer Awareness month, and this May we are launching our second annual social media campaign asking participants to share photos of their faces after sucking on a lemon using the hashtag #BladderCancerSucks. As the 5th most common cancer in Canada, but a lesser-known disease, this campaign aims to raise awareness of bladder cancer and its symptoms as well as Bladder Cancer Canada coast-to-coast-to-coast. The increase in awareness will help Canadians recognize the early signs and symptoms of bladder cancer to increase early detection and improve patient outcomes. With approximately 37 Canadians diagnosed each day, the incidence of bladder cancer is on the rise, therefore the need for increased patient support, public awareness and research funding is greater than ever before.
We are asking for the donation of gifts-in-kind to offer as a draw prize to increase social media reach of our #BladderCancerSucks campaign and incentivize participation.
