To Whom It May Concern,

I am contacting you on behalf of Cub Scout Pack 631 of Westminster, Maryland.  Cub Scout Pack 631 is a 501c3 (tax ID 52-0607899) program that is run through the Westminster United Methodist Church, our sponsor organization.

In February 2023, Cub Scout Pack 631 will host its annual Blue & Gold Banquet. This event brings families together for an evening of fun and cheer. Blue and Gold banquets are a tradition within packs, celebrating the leaders and parents who volunteer to make Cub Scouting fantastic as well as the anniversary of the origin of Scouting. Our pack will also use the banquet as a chance to celebrate the accomplishments of the Scouts, themselves. While being part of the Pack, Scouts are learning how to be an active part of the community they live in through events such as Scouting for Food to support our local food pantries, park clean ups, Honoring our Veterans, and participating in community parades. 

This year our annual event will include a silent auction.  It’s through this effort we hope to raise most of our funds to support our pack and offset the costs associated with activities such as camping; The Pinewood Derby and Fishing Derby in addition to sending a child/children to camp that may otherwise not be able to attend.

We are contacting you to ask if you would be interested in providing monetary or tangible item(s) (for example: gift basket, logo merchandise, gift cards/certificates) to add to our auction event.   We would be so grateful for anything you may be able to provide. Most important, the proceeds from the event will benefit Cub Scout Pack 631.

We would appreciate any donation(s) you could provide to make our evenings event a success. Thank you in advance for your help to this endeavor.
