On Friday, March 10, 2023, The Foundation of Birches Academy will be hosting a Blue Ribbon Celebration Gala in honor of being recognized as a Department of Education Blue Ribbon school. This evening will not only celebrate the prestigious award but also be a fundraiser for the students of Birches Academy of Academics & Art. The Foundation's goal is to raise $10,000, so The Birches can continue to provide an education our students have grown accustomed to, a curriculum rich in art & music. 

Birches Academy of Academics and Art, a public-tuition-free charter school, opened its doors for the first time in September 2012. It was a new beginning for 88 elementary school students from 9 communities in southern New Hampshire. In the past several years, we have grown to 225 students from 12 surrounding communities offering a curriculum rich in Art, Music & STEM.

NH Charter schools are funded by only 50% of traditional public schools. NH funds its charter schools at one of the lowest rates in the country. No local funds are transferred to the charter school, so we do with less. The dedication The Birches has to provide the highest quality STEAM-based education aims to teach today's children for tomorrow, utilizing technology, flexible, out-of-the-box concepts and challenging each student at their learning level.
