Description

The Boston Walk for Children with Apraxia of Speech is a celebration of the hard work children with Apraxia put in every day in order to find their voice. The Walk is also an opportunity to bring together local families facing the same challenges.

What is Apraxia? Children with Apraxia of Speech have great difficulty planning and producing the precise, highly refined and specific series of movements of the tongue, lips, jaw and palate that are necessary for intelligible speech. Children with Apraxia of Speech receive speech services 2-5 days each week.
