Description

We invite you to become a valued sponsor of our upcoming Youth & Family Bowling Fundraiser on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Olivette Lanes in St. Louis.

This family-friendly event will welcome up to 48 families and teams across 24 lanes for two hours of fun-filled bowling, complete with food and beverages. Our goal is to raise $10,000 in support of the Youth & Family Program—an essential part of our organization’s mission to empower Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind youth and their families.

Why Your Support Matters
Early access to communication is a fundamental building block for every child’s development—especially for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children. Without it, they risk delays in language, literacy, and social-emotional development. It is imperative that we create opportunities where children and their families can learn, connect, and grow together in an inclusive environment. By supporting this fundraiser, you’re helping to ensure Deaf children are not left behind—they (including the family) are empowered with the tools, community, and confidence they need to thrive.

About the Youth & Family Program
The Youth & Family Program supports children (birth to age 18) with hearing loss, including CODAs (Children of Deaf Adults). Through this program, families gain access to critical resources, direct support services, and inclusive social opportunities that promote communication and connection.

Program Highlights
Social Connections Groups (ages 0–7): Relaxed playdates that foster peer friendships and parent bonding.

Deaf Teen Club: A safe, social space where teens can connect and develop leadership skills.

Family ASL Classes: Waived tuition for those with hearing loss to help families learn sign language together.

ASL Storytelling Time: Nurturing early literacy and language development through visual storytelling.

Inclusive Community Events like Breakfast with Signing Santa and The Great Pumpkin Patch.

Community Outreach in schools and at events to build awareness about deafness and communication access. r
