Description

The Indian Trail Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is hosting Bowling for Indian Trail, a parent fundraiser, on January 31, 2025 at the Tivoli Bowl in Downers Grove. Indian Trail is one of the 11 elementary schools in Downers Grove District 58. It has a 30.8% low income student rate, which makes it one of four schools in the entire district to be identified as a federal Title 1 recipient. Indian Trail has a diverse set of learners and age groups, ranging from preschool to 6th Grade, and serves as a home to the district’s RISE Program. (Our RISE Program offers an education experience customized to support students with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder and/or related characteristics.)

The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to support the impactful programs and initiatives that our PTA organizes for our school, our teachers, our families, and our students, including:

●       Purchasing every family a book for the One Book One School program.

●       Gifting a book from the book fair to every student on free and reduced lunch, a birthday book for every student at the school, and books for teachers’ classrooms.

●       Engaging art and culture field trips like theater performances.

●       Free student and family programs, like the Back to School Bash, Halloween Trunk or Treat, the Family Winter Fest, Family Bingo Night, Family Dances, and the International Fair.

●       No cost PTA memberships and free admission to paid events for low-income families.

●       Recess supplies and new physical education equipment.

●       Inspirational murals for the school and a pergola for the school garden.

 

We are asking for you to support our fundraising efforts by donating an item that can be used as a raffle giveaway. Your generosity will be recognized in our listing and signage for the raffle as well as on social media and the PTA website. We hope you will consider supporting our efforts.
