Description

Bowling For Rhinos is a nationwide bowl-a-thon where 100% of the proceeds are used to protect rhinos, their habitats, and those species that share their habitats. This family-friendly event hosted by the Lincoln Park American Association of Zoo Keepers is taking place on August 21, 2018 at Diversey River Bowl in Chicago. Bowling for Rhinos provides zoo keepers with an avenue to raise not only funds but awareness for these endangered animals and habitats.

We are currently seeking in-kind donations for raffle or silent auction that will help us raise more funds to send to 3 conservation organizations: Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, International Rhino Foundation, and Action for Cheetahs in Kenya. These organizations focus on community education, habitat preservation, and security to give rhinos and other animals the fighting chance they deserve. Rhinos and many other species in Africa and Asia are facing extinction due to poaching, habitat loss and other threats, and Bowling for Rhinos is a venture that encourages a community to support conservation worldwide in a time when it is desperately needed.
