Our annual fundraising gala benefits those in MN who have a communication disorder called aphasia.  Aphasia limits communication and can affect speaking, understanding, reading and/or writing.  It can occur after injury to the brain such as a brain injury, stroke or can be degenerative in nature.  The mission of MnCAN is to improve the life participation of individuals impacted by aphasia through comprehensive programs, education, peer connections and community support. Our visition is that people with aphasia actively participate in life without barriers. Our goal is to raise $100,000 to support our programs to provide peer to peer connections, mental health support, education, community and connection.
