Breaking the Silence 5k Walk & Run “Because Father’s Day Isn’t Easy for Everyone”
Walk/Run for Chasing the RainbowsJun 15, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, Chasing the Rainbows is hosting the Breaking the Silence 5K Walk & Run – “Because Father’s Day Isn’t Easy for Everyone” in Central Park, NYC.
This powerful event honors grieving fathers and families living with the pain of child loss—those navigating Father’s Day without one or more of their children. June is also World Infertility Awareness Month and Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, underscoring the emotional toll that infertility, loss, and the journey to parenthood can have on men—who are too often left out of the conversation.
This year, we are honored to welcome Corey Parchman—former NFL player and author of The IVF Playbook for Men, and Sam Sepulveda—Netflix’s Million Dollar Secret star, model, and NYC police officer, as our inspiring guest speakers. Their stories of resilience and advocacy will move and motivate all in attendance.
Chasing the Rainbows is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering completely free, trauma-informed daily support for those facing infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, pregnancy loss, reproductive trauma, and pregnancy after loss.
We are in the midst of a maternal health crisis—and it is costing lives, stability, and billions in lost productivity. An estimated $70 billion is lost to grief in the workplace each year, and 1 in 4 couples will experience some form of reproductive loss, including infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death, and the emotional complexities of pregnancy after loss.
Your support helps fund services like:
- Daily Virtual Support Groups (up to 4 groups per day, 17 groups every week)
- Trauma Therapy sessions with licensed clinicians
- Peer Mentorship & Ongoing Emotional Support
- Cry It Out Loud! Podcast featuring stories of loss and expert guests
- Private Chat Communities for connection and support
- Mindful Movement: Yoga, Meditation & Nervous System Regulation tools
- Coping Self-Care Packages sent to grieving families
- Community Awareness Events held nationwide
Why This Event Matters:
- Father’s Day can be excruciating for those who have lost a child or struggle to become fathers.
- This event offers a space for healing, remembrance, and visibility, especially for grieving dads who are often overlooked.
- June shines a spotlight on the emotional toll of infertility and parenthood, and the urgent need to support men’s mental health through honest conversations and compassionate care.
Together, we can break the silence—and remind families they are not alone. Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a real difference.
