Cystic fibrosis remains a devastating disease, but together we can change this.

 
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, the Cystic Fibrosis Research Institute (CFRI) will host our “Breath of Fresh Air” gala to raise funds for cystic fibrosis (CF) research and support programs. We are thrilled to share that the event will be held in person at the stunningly beautiful Nestldown estate in Los Gatos, California, with both a live and a virtual auction component. Last year, hundreds of people from across the United States participated in our online auction, while another 125 people attended the in-person event. This year, our gala will include music, celebrity appearances, tales of inspiration, and, of course, a very engaging auction. We would be honored to receive donations to our Breath of Fresh Air auction. Donation Match would play a key role in the gala’s success and our search for a cure for cystic fibrosis.

Since 1975, CFRI, a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization, has funded cutting-edge cystic fibrosis (CF) research, while providing vital programs to those coping with the most common fatal genetic disease in the United States. When CFRI was founded, children diagnosed with CF rarely reached adulthood. Thanks to the support of caring people like you, research has advanced therapeutic options for many.

 
The organization’s impactful reach extends across the nation and globe, providing information, resources and hope. With your participation, A Breath of Fresh Air will provide critical funds to support research to find a cure for cystic fibrosis. While progress has been made in treating the disease, there remains no cure, and the median age of death remains in the mid-thirties. There is still work to be done, and with your help, we can make a difference.

In addition to the festivities and virtual auction, the “CF Champion” award will be bestowed upon a leader in the field. We seek to provide our auction donors with significant recognition for their outstanding leadership, including a mention on our website, auction platform, social media sites, our newsletter (distribution 14,000), in our event program, and from the virtual podium.
