California Family Life Center (CFLC) is a non-profit that has stood strong in the Riverside County community since 1982. However, like most origin stories, we started small and worked out of a garage. We dedicated the first ten years to working with older foster youth who didn’t “fit” in a traditional home. Our group homes provided a new start and a second chance, something that would become a theme at CFLC. 

Over the years, times changed and CFLC expanded with it. The 80’s were a time of rapid growth and our team branched out and added job training and education programs that brought a wider impact into the community. For the next 30 years, CFLC became an umbrella organization that would support and add eight more programs to its tool belt. With each step of faith (like a Foster Family Agency 25 years ago!), CFLC’s demographic reach grew to meet more and more needs of the community. Today, CFLC consistently serves over 2000 children annually and stands as one of the premier agencies on the front lines in Riverside County.

We realize this is not just our story though. This is the story of a community banding together to stand in the gap for the sake of their own families and children. Providing safety, comfort, and healing to children suffering abuse and abandonment (our mission) requires teamwork.
