We founded this in memory of our daughter Colette who died at nine days old as a result of being born 16 weeks premature. Prior to Colette’s birth, mom was hospitalized for a little over three weeks due to preeclampsia.
Our organization financially assists families in crisis due to pregnancy complications, premature birth/NICU stay, and loss. Since launching on September 7, 2018 (Colette’s due date), we have helped more than 100 families and given away more than $200,000 in assistance. Our goal is to help at least 125 families in our second year of operation and then to increase that amount every year. The event will be held on April 26, 2020 at Pinstripes in Northbrook, Illinois. There would be a family and kid centric event where brunch and bowling are the main events, but there will also be other kids activities like face painting, games, arts and crafts, as well as a silent auction. We are looking for donations to our silent auction.
