Buddy Walk
Walk/Run for Inland Valley Down Syndrome AssociationOct 21, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
The Buddy Walk® was established by NDSS, The National Down Syndrome Society, in 1995 and has grown to be the world’s largest and most recognizable Down syndrome awareness program, with over 250 Walks taking place in 50 states and select international countries. Each year 315,000 walkers collectively raise nearly $13 million which is used to support local programs and services as well as national advocacy initiatives.
As a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers, IVDSA
uses all money raised by Buddy Walk to further the mission
of IVDSA and pave the way to a more inclusive society. Donations make our programs such as Little Steps, Next Steps, Hospital Outreach and our upcoming Education Center possible. Thanks to community support we are also able to offer a variety of social gatherings, workshops, and trainings throughout the year.
Join us for the best way to walk in awareness, celebrate together, enjoy live music “The Ravelers”, visit the Aquarium on Wheels, play games, try your luck at our opportunity drawing or silent auction, check out our resource tables, eat good food and build memories with your family, friends and loved ones!
