My name is Tracy Lisewsky and I am the current President of the Heights High School PTO.  Heights High School sits in the middle of the Houston Heights and serves over 2400 students from the Heights and surrounding neighborhoods. Almost two-thirds of the students attending Heights are economically disadvantaged. 

On April 13th, 2024 we will hold our annual Bulldog Bash Auction and as a Heights community member,  and we need your help.  Please consider making a  donation of items or gift certificates. 

The Heights High School PTO works to support all of the students and staff of our school with teacher grants, college scholarships, teacher supply reimbursements and teacher appreciation events.  Despite the challenges of the past few school years, Heights High School has emerged as one of the preeminent comprehensive high schools within Houston ISD, attracting both a large number of zoned students and transfers from throughout the City of Houston.  Part of providing a quality experience for Heights students is the PTO’s ability to support the school in its initiatives to provide high-quality educational and extracurricular opportunities.  

Thanks to your generosity and support, the PTO has been able to increase our overall support to the school in many, many ways including increasing the college scholarships awarded from 10 to 15, raising the amount of funds available for teacher supply reimbursements and increasing the grant fund for teachers, clubs and organizations. Some of the grants recently awarded by the PTO include:

Travel expenses for our Special Olympics team to compete in San Antonio
Required Senior dues for those in need
Wraparound Services support in the form of Metro bus passes, backpacks and clothing 
Materials to enhance student engagement within our Library
Materials to support the student led production of “Mean Girls - The Musical”
Equipment and tournament fees for teams and clubs (soccer, chess, ping pong, ecology, cross country and many more)
Materials to start up a Bulldog “Tales” podcast
