Description

We are thrilled to share that we will be hosting our second annual BunnyFest, a celebration of our bunnies and our rescue. This event will help us raise funds for our bunnies and our rescue while providing a fun experience.

Our mission is to support the domestic rabbit crisis in California.

Unfortunately, some rescues and shelters are unable to provide adequate care for domestic rabbits, which can lead to euthanasia. This is often due to a lack of public education on the proper care of these animals.

It is unfortunately common to come across rabbits that have been abandoned or dumped. While there are not many rabbit rescues available, they are crucial in ensuring these animals receive the proper care they deserve. Shockingly, over 30,000 rabbits are abandoned on average in the US. Often, families purchase rabbits as gifts or pets without understanding the responsibility and maintenance required to properly care for them.

We aim to educate people not only on the intricacies of caring for rabbits, but also on the joy of having them as part of the family. Additionally, we want to raise awareness about the importance of spaying and neutering rabbits to address overpopulation issues. With one rabbit capable of having up to 12 litters per year, with an average of 6-8 babies per litter, the saying is true!

Our goal is to support local rescues, animal control, and the public in educating and finding new forever homes for our bunnies. Our annual budget for spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and care is $65,000 for our maximum capacity of 25 rabbits. In the past two years, we have saved over 150 bunnies and will continue to rescue, care, love, and repeat.

We Thank you for your consideration of our rescue, and hope to welcome you to our bunny family.
