We are having our first calendar fundraiser in May. We will have raffle items daily, people will buy tickets in March and April and we will raffle off items every day! 

At Elbowbumpkid Inc we are making a difference in the lives of families impacted by Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) in Connecticut. We are writing to you to ask for your support. Our mission is to provide families in Connecticut impacted with Type 1 Diabetes with the opportunity to thrive, learn and grow despite the diagnosis.  A Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis is a lifelong journey involving endless daily tasks to manage the disease as well as a lifelong financial burden. There are no breaks and it is incredibly isolating at time of diagnosis and beyond. We are striving to avoid that isolation in Connecticut by connecting families to establish relationships through ongoing social and education events so children and parents know they have support from others just like them. 

 In order to accomplish this we are planning several 2022 fundraisers to support these events. We will also fund a scholarship grant for a high school senior with T1D majoring in health care and partner with the children’s hospitals that have programs to help our CT families.  Many families can barely afford their monthly medical supplies and don’t have the resources to attend social and educational events that are critical to their physical, mental health and well-being.  Being surrounded by their peers and learning from other families is imperative to their long-term success in managing the disease.

-Donate a product or service from your business to be used for our silent auction in April or November 

-Donate a product for our May calendar fundraiser 

-Be a Sponsor with a monetary donation. Donations of $100 or more will be prominently featured on our Facebook page, at the event you choose along with contact information for your business sent to our network as a supporter.
