Called to care is hosting a fundraiser on August 22, 2024.  The purpose of our fundraiser is to raise awareness of our organiztion and to raiser money for an Emergency Home for foster children.  Currently in Illinois there are more foster care childrent than families.  And too oftern when children are removed from their home for abuse and or neglect, they spend the nights on office floors of agencies, police stations or hospitals.  No medical attention is usually needed they just have no where esle to put them.  Sometimes these nights turn into days or weeks before they are able to place the children with a relative or in a home.  Called to care has acquired home, that can be used as an Emergency Home for the children to go to in the meantime.  But the home is in need of many renovations to make it safe friendly place for children.
