Camp Alkulana has a biennial Silent Auction. Donations for this auction come from business and individuals. Past auctions have included handmade art and crafts, gift certificates for dining and experiences, and vacation stays.
The funds raised are used to support our misssion to provide a camp experience for campers who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
The majority of our campers qualify for USDA free or reduced lunch. They are from the greater Richmond, Virginia, area. Camp Alkulana has been in continuous operation since 1915, and has approximately 200 campers each summer. We also have year round programming, including leadership training for our older campers.
