Description

Experiencing the loss of a loved one is something every person will face in their lifetime. Although this part of live obviously includes young people, there is a history of adults attempting to shield children, pre-teens, and teenagers from their reality. Not so long ago, it was common practice to keep children home from funerals.

Camp Hope is an annual bereavement camp that promoted a journey through the grieving process that is based on the knowledge and experience of bereavement professionals. Camp Hope will be held on October 7th through October 9th at Camp Jekyll. Hospice of South Georgia welcomes children in first through twelfth grades who are trying to cope with a significant loss in their lives.

We invite you to partner with us as a "Prize Donor" for our Camp Hope campers. We are requesting games, toys, and prizes for each camper to receive during their time at Camp Hope. Please join us to create a successful Camp Hope that gives children a comfortable and safe environment to express their feelings and loss as this is an important part of the grieving process and can lead to healing.
