Description

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Valicitie and I am the Family Support Specialist for The  Valley Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, located in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Babies in the NICU are usually the tiniest of newborns, often born prematurely. In addition to being fragile, they require specialized medical and nursing care.

Valley’s 15-bed NICU is designated by the State of New Jersey as a Level III nursery, a designation given to neonatal units able to provide the highest level of care for high-risk mothers and acutely ill newborns.

On Sunday, May 15, 2022, The Valley Hospital NICU staff and parents will host the 1st Annual CAMP NICU, a family-centered fundraising event to benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Family Support Program. Taking place at Spring Lake Day Camp in Ringwood, New Jersey, more than 200 guests including NICU Graduates and families  expected to attend.

Since 2018, The Valley Hospital NICU has incorporated the practice of Family Support and Nurture Care to promote a family-centered approach to enhance the standard of care for infants and families. The program provides families with resources and support during the NICU hospitalization and the transition home. Today, The Valley Hospital is the only hospital in the Tristate area incorporating this care paradigm as a standard of care in the NICU.

Since the pandemic, Family Support has provided comfort and support services to families during the NICU hospitalization, transition to home and beyond.  Your sponsorship will help us  raise the funds needed to keep these programs available to the families of The Valley Hospital NICU. We hope we can count you in!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Valicitie Porrata-Rubino
