Dear Friends of Hill Country,

We will be holding our 2nd Annual Hill Country MHDDC Car Show on March 2, 2024. This event which we started last year is our first major fundraising event of this kind, and it is benefiting our Youth Crisis Respite Center, which reopened to the children in our service in June of 2023.

The Youth Crisis Respite Center temporarily closed due to Covid-19, and we have been working hard to get this center back up and running for the teens who need these services. Our Youth Crisis Respite Center provides short-term residential crisis services to teens between 13 and 17 years old. Respite services are provided in a safe, caring, traditional home environment with 24-hour supervision. Activities are individualized to target and alleviate the immediate challenges youth and/or family are experiencing. While at the Center, youth continue their education and are offered social and recreational activities.

Hill Country MHDD Centers serves families with children and adolescents, ages 13 through 17, who exhibit significant behavioral and/or emotional difficulties. We work closely with the family and youth to help strengthen and empower families to improve functioning and quality of life. The Youth Crisis Respite Center is a service we are excited to be able to add back for the youth across our service area. One hundred percent of the proceeds from our car show will be benefiting this program so the staff of this location can provide vital services.
