Description
The Cardinal & Gold Gala is held annually in February in Des Moines, Iowa. The event supports student and alumni programming (such as our Homecoming and Senior week that students plan, and our LegaCy club for children/grandchildren of ISUAA members) as well as scholarships for first-generation students. We've awarded over 40 $1000 scholarships to date. Our goal is to increase these scholarships to $2000 per scholarship. We are increasing the award to $1250 for the 2018/2019 school year and will continue increasing until we reach our $2000 goal. This coming year will be our 7th year of the signature Des Moines event and now attracts over 650 Cyclones and Friends in the greater Des Moines area.
