Cares for Cancer is a region 501c3 organization that is a medical needs financial support organization.  This organization fundraises money that is used to provide local individuals with monetary grants who are in need of financial assistance through their medical treatment.  We service an area of 45-mile radius around Hankinson, ND that includes a major part of eastern North Dakota and some portion of South Dakota and Minnesota.  Attendance at our event is expected to reach roughly 700 people.  We are a 501(c)(3) organization.  Donations to our event would be used for a silent auction or live auction and can also be monetary.  If a donation is made, we can provide you with a donation receipt for tax purposes.  We can also place any promotional materials with the donated item for the guests to look at.  I am attaching the event flyer for our benefit that is taking place on March 23rd, 2024.

Mission:  The Cares for Cancer committee was founded in 2006. This committee has diligently worked to raise funding to support those stricken with a medical hardship. In previous years the organization has supplied the majority of its funds to Riveredge Hospice to assist their efforts of providing end-of-life care to those in need. In 2011 Cares for Cancer, Inc. was established as its own 501(c) 3 Non-Profit Organization. With the new status, the organization is now able to open its funding efforts to local individuals struggling with medical expenses due to cancer and other chronic illnesses.  Funds are primarily used for the purpose of local grants.  Some of the funds raised are also used to benefit CHI Health at Home, Sanford Children’s, Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center, Essentia Health Cancer Center, Essentia Health Children’s, and other local medical organizations.
