Description

RESCHEDULED

For over 99 years the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland has served the community. Our impact in Lakeland has been immeasurable and is a product of tens of thousands of people committing their time, treasures and talents to our efforts. As we turn the page into the Club’s centennial celebration, we need your help to make our 100th year our biggest and best.

Our 2021-2022 Kiwanis year will center around service and we will be front and center as our community continues to move forward beyond the pandemic. We will continue to serve with our Stuff the Bus Campaign. Over the years our Stuff the Bus efforts are nearing a million dollars in contributions of supplies for the kids of Lakeland’s Elementary Schools. We will also be looking to make our Day Without Disabilities event even bigger and better than ever. Beyond that we are going to have a renewed focus on the youth in our community and the development of our future leaders. Through our K-Kids, Builder’s Club and Key Clubs, we will be serving side by side and in some instances at the direction of these young leaders.

If those projects were not big enough for a Kiwanis year, we will also be seeing the benefits of our past efforts as we expect that the Kiwanis Pavilion at the Dream Center and the Kiwanis Cares for Kids Treehouse at Bonnet Springs Park will be completed during our 100th year. It is certainly an exciting time for the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland!

I outlined some of the things that we will be accomplishing over the next year to explain why we need your help. To fund these programs and to make everything possible, we need your support. In this package you will find information about our Kiwanis Caribbean Casino Night. This will be the 3rd time that we have held the event and it is sure to be the biggest party ever. The event will be held the evening of September 17, 2021 at the Lake Mirror Auditorium. It will be a night of food, drinks and games! Funds raised from the event go directly into our projects and programs. Nothing raised goes towards administrative costs, everything will be distributed back into the community. Please review the sponsorship package attached and I thank you in advance for your consideration and support of the Kiwanis Caribbean Casino Night and the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland’s 100th year!
