Choate Construction Company has been fighting to end cystic fibrosis for nearly 35 years. Cystic fibrosis is a rare, genetic, life shortening
disease, that affects organs throughout the entire body in 40,000 children and adults in the U.S.

We are asking you to join us in the fight to cure cystic fibrosis by donating an auction item for the 2023 Cars & ‘Q for the Cause event on
Saturday, October 21st.

A dear friend of the founding Choate family, Leann, was diagnosed with CF as a toddler in 1988. At the time, the life expectancy for
someone with CF was only 13 years old. From that moment on, as Choate Construction grew, so too did the company support of the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the world’s leader in a search for a cure.

Choate Construction reimagined our fundraising efforts in 2009 with our annual car show, Cars & ‘Q for the Cause, to rally our community
together in a relentless pursuit of a cure. What started a small gathering has turned into an award-winning car show and party with over
800 patrons.

Thanks to supporters like you, the annual event has raised over $3.13 million and has helped propel groundbreaking
advancements in CF drug therapies and treatments. The median life expectancy for someone born with CF today has now risen to age
56, a 43-year increase since our support began! Your support is adding decades of life to people with CF.

While we celebrate the progress that has been made, we are still far from done. Many people with CF do not benefit from the existing
treatments and still face the sobering prospect of a shortened life. We believe no parent should have to outlive their child, and no one
should be subjected to the daunting hours of daily treatment and responsibilities required by CF patients. This is why our fight will
continue until “CF” stands for “Cure Found”.
