Description

Dear Friend of the Arts and Education,
Building on exploratory learning, creativity, and innovation, Carver Center Foundation endeavors to perpetuate and extend the legacy of our namesake: Dr. George Washington Carver. By supporting the students and community of George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology, we strive to magnify his enormous contributions by cultivating scientists, artists, artisans, thought leaders, and activists in our region through enriching experiences aimed at supporting and empowering youth and their families.
Carver Center Foundation depends heavily upon the generosity of area sponsors and partners. Your support of the Foundation helps provide annual scholarships to graduating seniors, parent support workshops, master classes, specialized program equipment and supplies, enriching program and educational activities, professional development of our devoted faculty, and so much more.
For over 30 years the students of George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology have received numerous international, national, and regional awards, honors, and other recognition of their talents and the school was one of five schools nationwide awarded the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts National Schools of Distinction in Arts Education. From our U.S. Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon School, Carver Center alums go on to perform in professional dance companies, act on Broadway and in television shows and films, create those shows and films, write some celebrated literary works, create and develop works in several other artistic, artisanal, and technical media, are represented by some of the best galleries in the country, and teach their crafts in various schools, including Carver Center. We are thrilled to share that the Class of 2023 received over $25 million dollars in outside awards and scholarships and 90% are now attending two- and four-year colleges and universities.
Your contribution will allow us to continue this profound legacy and help us expand the reach of Carver’s impact by providing these and other valuable and timely resources. We invite you to join us at the sponsorship level that you feel will help carry on this tradition, now and long into the future.
Thank you for your support!
