Description

In previous years, this event has been attended by over 200 members of the local autism community and raised thousands of dollars for research.  For this event to be a continued success, OAR needs in-kind donations to use as silent auction items.  Any donation you can make is greatly appreciated.

OAR, a national non-profit founded by seven parents and grandparents of children and adults with autism, is dedicated to funding and promoting scientific research that will help maximize opportunities for individuals with autism throughout their lives.  Since 2001, OAR has awarded $3.6 million to fund applied research studies, published nine community-friendly resource guides in its Life Journey through Autism series, and launched an adult employment initiative, Hire Autism.  Additionally, OAR offers multiple resources for military families who have children with autism, and awards college and vocational school scholarships to individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

The money raised from the silent auction will go directly toward funding applied research that helps address the everyday challenges presented by autism.
