The Cardinal Shehan Center's Casino Night offers the fun and excitement of casino games, but for a great cause! This year, we will be honoring The Werth Family Foundation for their continuous support and dedication to our educational programs over the years. This event will provide a variety of classic casino games that use "funny money" and guests can compete for prizes. Guests enjoy dinner, drinks, music, and camaraderie, all while helping to raise much-needed funds to support the Cardinal Shehan Center's After School & Saturday Program. The After School & Saturday Program provides educational and recreational enrichment for young people in grades kindergarten through high school in Bridgeport, CT. Funds raised at this event benefit the many activities provided in the After School & Saturday Program including tutoring, culinary arts, computers, STEM, gym, arts & crafts, dance, Leadership Program, Career Pathways Program, Financial Literacy, Skilled Trades Program, Girls Zone, HOPE Violence Prevention Program, and so much more. These activities provide the underserved youth of Bridgeport an opportunity to be exposed to different skills, environments, career options, athletics, social behaviors and much more that they would not have otherwise been exposed to, especially at such a young age. This year marks the Shehan Center’s 60th year of fulfilling its mission of enriching lives through learning.
